The Regensburg Course in Facial Plastic Surgery 2009
Finesse in Facial Plastic Surgery: Dr. Gassner initiated this course in 2009. This course is regarded as the most complete course in facial plastic surgery in Europe. It was staged 7 times between 2009 and 2016. During the 5 course days, lectures, videos, live surgery, anatomic dissections and workshops are offered. The “Finesse Team” was glad to welcome more than 150 attendees from all continents to the most recent course in 2016.

Fellowship, Observership, Visitorship
The IFFPSS Fellowship is a 12 month comprehensive training program accredited by the International Federation of Facial Plastic Surgery Societies (www.IFFPSS.org). Qualifying candidates have completed their specialty training before the start of the fellowship. We accept candidates specialized in ORL, OMFS or GPS. The training includes all segments of the spectrum of facial plastic surgery.
The fellowship is offered to a national and an international candidate. The national candidate must have a full and valid German medical license. The national fellow is engaged in call and holiday coverage. The national fellowship is supported with a salary.
The international fellowship does not require a full German medical license. The international fellow is not engaged in call or holiday coverage and there is no funding for the international fellowship.
The fellows pursue examination and certification through the European respective International Board for Certification in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (IBCFPRS.org / EBCFPRS.org). IBCFPRS / EBCFPRS Board Certification is the highest standard globally and reflects the history of the Regensburg fellowship program as one of the longest-standing and most reputable programs in Europe.
The Finesse Center Fellowship program is structured as follows:
Surgical training: Rhinoplasty, Blepharoplasty, Face Lift, Endoscopic Brow Lift, Otoplasty, Facial reconstruction, Hair restoration, Laser, Scar revision
Medical training: Pre – operative counseling, post – operative care, computer simulation, botox, fillers, PRP, resurfacing, needling
Academic training: Retrospective studies, anatomic studies, clinical studies, review articles, rhetorics, presentations, teaching media.
The fellowship may be supplemented with a rotation in a cooperating US center:
